The standard tashas menu is supplemented by a range of signature dishes unique to each venue. In Constantia, this means some interesting options such as the Constantia quinoa salad with avo, fennel, pecans and other delights topped with red onion marmalade, or a soft and juicy duck breast served on polenta with a red wine and orange jus. The rest of the vast menu contains familiar café fare of breakfasts, sandwiches, wraps, pastas and salads alongside slightly quirkier options such as the Arabian steak quesadilla with rocket, hummus and red onion. The portions are really big, which is just as well because the prices are definitely on the high side. It’s good value when you see how much food you get on the plate, but smaller portions at cheaper prices would negate the need for a doggy bag on every table. The small waffle house alongside the main restaurant serves different sweet options for desserts.
